Walbe's Die Kunstdenkmäler des Kreises Gießen (1933: 109) cited in Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelische_Kirche_Hausen_(Pohlheim)] [accessed 24 July 2023] reports a large Romanesque baptismal font by the eastern outer wall ; it is 66 cm tall and 108 cm in diameter ["Davor hat der große romanische Taufstein seinen Platz gefunden (1,08 Meter im Durchmesser, 0,66 Meter hoch)."] The object is tub-shaped with tapering sides; it shows several spots of damage at the upper rim; it shows no decoration on it; its interior is full of soil and appears to be used as a planter in the churchyard [cf. ImagesArea]
