Baptismal font made of lava stone (basalt) noted and illustrated in the Ev. Kirchengemeinde Reichelsheim/Wetterau [https://reichelsheim-heuchelheim.ekhn.de/startseite/amtshandlungen/taufe.html] [accessed 22 July 2023]; the entry remarks that the font stood disused for many years outside the church. A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 11 October 2022) notes: "Einen alten Taufstein erwähnt Dieffenbach im Archiv für Hessische Geschichte Bd. VL S 238. Er ist schlicht rund, verbreitert sich nach oben bis zu einem vortretenden Rande und ist aus Lungenbasalt hergestellt."
