Church Notes: Dankeskirche is a new church built ca. 1900 -- Wilhelmskirche was built in the 1740s to replace a medieval church on the site; replaced by the Dankeskirche in 1906; became community centre in 1926
Noted and illustrated in Ulrike's Travel-See-Xperience (26 December 2021) [https://travel-see-xperience.com/2021/12/26/bad-nauheim-streifzug-durch-die-stadt-und-die-angrenzende-natur/] [accessed 19 June 2023]: as a ca.1200 baptismal font made of basalt and originally from Wilhelmskirche that was moved to beneath the south gallery of the new Dankeskirche; the inner basin was filled with concrete and is therefore no longer used for its function ["Den Taufstein aus der Wilhelmskirche hat man in die Dankeskirche überführt, er besteht aus Basalt und stammt ungefähr aus dem Jahr 1200. Dadurch, dass er mit Beton befüllt wurde, hat er heute leider keine Funktion mehr."]
