Noted and fully illustrated in Raymon Faure [http://www.raymond-faure.com/Goslar/Goslar_Jakobikirche_Kanzel.html] [accessed 12 July 2023] The dome-shaped metal [copper?] font cover, sides decorated with a ribbed pattern on which are painted twelve shields charged the coats of arms of Goslar families. The entry for this font in the DIO DI 45: Stadt Goslar (1997) Nr. 112, St. Jakobi gives the metal of the font as copper painted with bronze paint ["Taufbecken, Kupfer, mit Bronzefarbe gestrichen"] and provides a full transcription of the texts of the inscriptions [painted], as well as details on the persons named in them and of the coats of arms painted on the cover [https://www.inschriften.net/goslar/inschriften/nr/di045-0112.html?tx_hisodat_sources[itemsPerPage]=10&tx_hisodat_sources[orderBy]=10&tx_hisodat_sources[ascDesc]=10&tx_hisodat_sources[currentPage]=2&tx_hisodat_sources[currentItem]=112&tx_hisodat_sources[action]=show&tx_hisodat_sources[controller]=Sources&cHash=2c6ad99c02bbaaec4b46471dba4c830f] [accessed 13 July 2023]. The DIO entry further identifies the coats of armas and the persons named: "Bei den beiden in der Inschrift genannten Personen mit Namen Christoph Sander handelt es sich um Vater und Sohn (zu ersterem vgl. Nr. 106).
