The entry for this church in Kirchen i. d. Gem.Hebertshausen [https://kirchenundkapellen.de/kirchen/hebertshausen-georg.php#qr10] [accessed 10 July 2023] contains information on the baptismal font, as well as a series of reports of visitations of related interest; among those is a report of an episcopal visitation to the church of 1560 [footnoted: Anton Landersdorfer, Das Bistum Freising in der bayerischen Visitation des Jahres 1560, 1986] reported a baptismal font in place in the church [no details given]; a later visitation of 1738 and 1740 also reports a baptismal font in the church [no details given either]; a later visitation of 1867 reports that the fonts needs renovation ["Der Taufstein bedarf einer neuen Verzierung"]; a 1909 report issued on occasion of the church administration considering selling some superfluous figures and ornamental items ["überflüssigen Figuren und liturgischen Gerätschaften trennen"] included for consideration some 18th-century baptismal font figures [Taufsteinfiguren vom frühen 18.Jh."]. The same source [cf. supra] describes and illustrates the baptismal font, which was at some point embedded in a wall until it was freed in 2020; it s described as octagonal, with a diameter of 75 cm, made of red marble and dated ca. 1500; in the restoration the released font was given a round pedestal base and placed in the nave, beneath the gallery; a new bronze font cover was provided for the font ["Der obere Teil des Taufbeckens (Cuppa) war bis 2020 "sinn- und formwidrig" zur Hälfte in die Wand eingelassen.
