The font consists of a round basin with sharp protruding moulding at the upper rim, bulges around the underbowl; slender stem with large flat moulding, splaying to a round lower base. fully painted on all its surfaces, including the date "1557" painted atop the lower base [NB: a photograph taken before the restoration shows that a date of a previous restoration, "1744" was painted in the same place]. Octagonal dome-saped wooden cover with knob finial; equally painted from top to bottom.
