Church Notes: the name of a priest of Bochingen church is documented in the 11thC; the patronage of St Mauritius is first documented in 1529; present church dates to the late-gothic period; modified in the 19thC; renovated several times in the 20thC

Two fonts inside this church are reported and illustrated in Bernd Pieper's Römer, Burgen und Gebäude –– Geschichte im Kreis Rottweil [https://www.burg-ruinen.de/gebäude-raum-oberndorf/bochingen/katholische-kirche/] [accessed 8 July 2023]; one of the fonts appears to be the 18th-century one mentioned above, which consists of a round basin with large and deep concave ribs above foliage motifs; it is raised on baluster-type pedestal base, with shallow decoration on the side panels; it has a flat and plain wooden cover; it is located between the chancel and the south altar. The second font, which is probably somewhat earler, consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a flat moulding at the upper rim, and a convex ribbed pattern; raised on a square splaying pedestal base; its large cover appears to be made of metal.
