One of two medieval baptismal fonts in this church, this one consisting of a cauldron-shaped bronze basin raised on a broad cylindrical stone base; the pronounced flat moulding around the upper rim of the basin has an inscription all around, with middle dots, stars and potent Greek crosses as spacers; below this rim is a number of human busts and heads, all around; the bulging sides and underbowl are decorated with a ribbed pattern; there are two metal anchorings on the upper rim for a cover, but there is no cover present; the base has a moulding at the upper end but is otherwise plain. [cf. BSI entry for Regensburg No. 3 for the other medieval font in this church].
