Font Notes:
Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Dr. h.c. Rudolf Lenz's Restaurierungsprojekte in Schlesien [restaurierung-taufbecken-arnsdorf-datei-klein.pdf] [accessed 3 July 2023]: the core of the font today is said to be the original stone font of the 13th-century church; it is encased in a later wooden frame [Holzummantelung] of the Baroque period [the wooden parts had been much damaged by woodworm and wear; they were restored in 2012]; there is a metal basin insert in the outer octagonal shell. The font cover matches the design, material and period of the wooden casing, and has a Baptism of Christ scene finial.
