A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 19 September 2022) notes: "In a public park in the village of Bartoszyce stand the statues of Bartel (Bartki) and Gustabalda (Kamienne Baby). This is a Prussian legend about the pre-Christian Prussian king Widemut (Waidemut) and his son (Bartel) and daughter (Gustabalda). Bartel and Gustabalda were lovers, and as punishment they were transformed into stones. In between them stood an old baptismal font. I have the impression that it has been moved." [NB: we have no information to relate this object, perhaps a font, to the local parish church at Bartoszyce].
