The entry for this church in the Reformierte Kirchen im Aargau [https://www.ref-kirchen-ag.ch/kirchen/egliswil] [accessed 1 April 2023] reports two baptismal fonts here: one inside the church, another outside, on the north side; according to this source both fonts are used for baptisms, the one outside chiefly in the summer. The story of the font outside is told in a 5 July 2012 article by Alfred Gassmann's Der Egliswiler Taufstein, der zum Vogelbad verkam, in Der Seetaler (2011) [https://kirche-seengen.ch/media/archive1/historisches/Seetaler2012ArtikelzumTaufstein.pdf] [accessed 1 April 2023] and in a later article by the same author in the Lenzburger Bezirks-Anzeiger [https://kirche-seengen.ch/media/archive1/historisches/AZArtikelTaufstein5.7.12.pdf] [accessed 1 April 2023]. An article by Michael Ehrler in Glosse [GlosseAZ2012Taufsteingefunden.pdf] [accessed 1 April 2023] shows the font when it was being used in the churchyard as a bird-bath. The 'summer font' consists of a roughly hemispheric basin, the only decoration on which is a broad flat moulding all around; it has been raised on a wooden pedestal base. No cover present.
