Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/20001254] [accessed 24 March 2023] as a holy-water stoup originally from the old demolished parish church of My, in Ferrières: "Bénitier provenant du village de My (Ferrières)" The object consists of an octagonal basin basin with a human head at every other side, moulded between; the pedestal base is octagonal to a square lower base, with parallel mouldings and, on the lower volume, the moulded stops that make it square. [NB: the KIK-IRPA entry describes it as "Type of object: fonts baptismaux" but the Description field reads: "Bénitier provenant du village de My (Ferrières)".
A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 11 September 2022) notes: "A simple chapel is mentioned at My in 1497 (in the list of goods of the Abbey of Stavelot), taxed as a parish in 1531, although still cited as "vicaria" in 1558. It was endowed with a baptismal font and detached from Xhignesse in 1561. The current church of My is an ogival style building which was consecrated in September 1869. The old baptismal fonts is kept in the Salle des Pas Perdus of the Brussels CPAS. KIK-IRPA calls it a stoup [cf. supra] Mosan, Renaissance, nice that it is datable."
