Font Notes:
Baptismal font listed and illustrated in Richesses en Somme [https://www.richesses-en-somme.com/patrimoine-des-églises/fonts-baptismaux/fonts-bapt-du-10e-au-13e-siècle/] [accessed 20 March 2023]: " Saint-Romain (Poix de Picardie). Ces fonts se trouvent dans une chapelle privée. La cuve baptismale porte à l'intérieur la date de 1091." The font consists of an oddly shaped basin mounted on a cross-shaped lower base; the date '1091' incised on the inner bowl surface is unlikely to represent the actual date of the object. No cover present now but there is a metal staple in the upper rim of the basin, an anchoring spot for an earlier cover.
