Noted and illustrated in the Evangelisches Kirchspiel Schenklengsfeld web site [https://kirchspiel-schenklengsfeld.de/mauritiuskirche] [accessed 6 March 2023] as a late-Gothic baptismal font of ca. 1517 decorated with varied patterns and bearing three armorial devices: "Ein spätgotischer Taufstein mit einem phantasievollem Bandschlingenwerk um 1517 mit drei adeligen Wappen darin schmückt den Altarraum." The font is chalice shaped with round contours below a pronounced roll moulding ending down in a moulded octagonal lower base.
