The entry for this church in the Evangelische-Lutherische Landeskirche Hannovers [https://unterbillingshausen.wir-e.de/aktuelles] [accessed 30 January 2023] notes a baptismal font made og local sandstone in the 13th-14th century; when the old church was demolished in the 19th century the old font was relegated to serve as a flower vase ["Blumenvase"] in the school grounds and in front of the church; it was restored, brought into the church and reused for its intended function in 2012. The old basin is tub-shaped and rather irregular, with several large repairs and inserts of new stone, especially around the upper rim area; the round base is a modern replacement. No cover present.
