Reported in the Jahreskalender Ossendorf 2000 [https://www.ossendorf.de/geschichte/dorfgeschichte/] [accessed 27 December 2022] as a baptismal font of the 12th century in the local church. The entry for this church in the Ossendorfer Schriftenreihe Heft Nr. 15 (Erstdruck: Januar 2015), Ossendorfer Kirchengeschichte [https://www.ossendorf.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Heft-15-Kirchengeschichte.pdf] [accessed 27 December 2022] reports and illustrates a Romanesque baptismal font and a holy-water stoup, both 12th-century, moved from the earlier church demlished in 1904 to the new building: "Aus der alten Kirche wurden übernommen: der romanische Taufstein aus dem 12.Jahrhundert, die Säule welche den Turm mit der Kirche verbindet, das Weihwasserbecken". The baptismal font is a cyldrical tub with a band of acanthus (?) vine all around below the rim, a blind arcade of round arches below; plain narrower base, also circular. The wooden font is low-conical in shape with a ball-and-cross finial; appears modern. [cf. BSI entry for Ossendorf No. 2 for a medieval holy-water stoup also from the same church]
