The Zenderscher Homepage [https://www.zendersch.de/] [accessed 26 December 2022] informs: the present wooden font in the Zendersch church was made, together with the altar by a Master Zinntaler to replace an old wooden baptismal font that went to a museum in Gundelsheim/Neckar: "Altar, Kanzel und Taufe wurden von einem Meister namens Zinntaler angefertigt [...] Das in demselben Stil gefertigte hölzerne Taufbecken befindet sich im Siebenbürgischen Museum in Gundelsheim/Neckar." The old stone font has basin with an octagonal(?) upper end that is eroded to almost round shape, on an octafonal pedestal base and an octagonal-to-square lower base; there is evidence of damage from cover anchorings on the upper rim of the basin but there is nover on it now. This font had been relegated to the west end of the nave, beneath the organ, but was bought up to the chancel by 2015 [cf. ImagesAerea]. The Agramonia: Rural Romanian Experiences site [https://www.agramonia.com/de/attraction/Senereuş/Fortified Church Senereuş] [accessed 26 December 2022] notes and illustrates two fonts in this church: an octagonal font of stone now located beneath the organ, and a neo-Gothic font made of wood and reported at the time in the Museum in Schloss Horneck, in Germany. [NB: photographs 2015+ [cf. ImagesArea] show two fonts in this church: in the chancel is the old stone font from here; also, the late-medieval baptismal font from Filitelnic [cf. BSI entry] now in the west of the nave of this church].
