Octagonal basin with single moulding below the upper rim; moulded octagonal base. Wooden cover has octagonal base with round dome decorated with a Baptism of Christ scene that has the Holy Dove above and candle-holding angels in the sides [cf. supra]. The font and cover are noted in Patrimoine [https://www.mairie-landas.fr/decouvrir/histoire-et-patrimoine/patrimoine-2/] [accessed 25 December 2022]; the font is mistakenly dated as very ancient, possibly from the Romanesque church; the modern cover made by Henri Legrand, a local phamacist: "La cuve octogonale des fonts baptismaux est en pierre de Tournai.
