Temino No. 2 / Temiño

The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed December 2022] notes two churches in this village, one for each of the two 'barrios' that make up the village, and each one with a font: "Al estar constituido por dos barrios separados, conserva también dos iglesias"; the one in the lower quarter is dedicated to St. Paul: "la otra, en el barrio de abajo, está dedicada a San Pablo; es también de una nave, con una capilla, con cabecera románica de transición. Su ábside es poligonal con contrafuertes, con canes figurados en vértices y lisos en lo demás. La portada es renacentista con pilastrones y frontón semicircular partido, con escudo, pináculos, bolas y cruz, bajo pórtico con gran arco de medio punto y reja de hierro. La pila es también estrecha y lisa, con base circular". The font is of an elongated beaker shape, plain but for a moulding around the lower base. Plain cover present. Interestingly the entry for Temiño in Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_TEMIÑO.pdf] [accessed 24 December 2022] mentions only one church here, the "Iglesia de San Pedro y San Pablo" which actually corresponds to Nebreda Perdiguero's San Pablo, i.e., the church in the lower quarter of the village; it does note mention a font in it.
