The entry for this church in Region Laupen [https://www.regionlaupen.ch/objekt/kirche-neuenegg/] [accessed 20 December 2022] reports an old baptismal font in it: "über 500 Jahre alte Taufstein". The entry in the Könizer Zeitung / Der Sensetaler [https://koenizer-zeitung.ch/kirche-neuenegg-ein-wahrzeichen/] [accessed 20 December 2022] mentions a baptismal font here of ca. 1452, the date of one of the main modifications of the medieval church. Described and illustrated in the Kirchgemeinde Neuenegg [https://www.neuenegg.org/historisches/kirche/taufstein/] [accessed 20 December 2022] as a limestone font of ca. 1500; originally located at the west end of the nave, moved to its present location in the chancel after the Reformation; baptismal records exist here since 1555. The font consists of a basin that is round at the top but octagonal on the side and the curved underbowl which ends in an octagonal moulding; raised on a cyclindrical-to-octagonal stem; octagonal-to-square lower base. The wooden font cover is plain, octagonal and modern.
