Composite baptismal font of stone, the octagonal basin of a late-Gothic date/style while the base is dated to the 12th century; the Romanesque base is decorated with the figures and symbols of the four Evangelists [[NB: a source suggests that the present base may have been part of a pulpit originally]; the larger basin is also made of grey sandstone but a much later date, perhaps ca. 1540; the sides are decorated with reliefs of 1)Presentation of Mary at the temple, 2)Annunciation to Mary, 3)Nativity, 4)Circumcision, 5)Adoration of the Magi, 6)Baptism of Christ, 7)Christ blessing the children and 8)child Baptism. The cover is modern, domed and with a large Baptism of Christ by John the Baptist painted and gilded statue. The font is located in the south area of the chancel.
