Listed in Meier-Kreiskott (2011) as a baptismal font made of grey sandstone in the second half of the 15th century; the font consists of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl on a short octagonal-to-square stem and a square lower base. M-K gives Evangelisches Kreisbildungswerk und katholisches Bildungswerk Kreis Böblingen 1990, S. 56. as reference. Illustrated in the entry for this church in Kirchen Online [http://www.kirchen-online.org/kirchen--kapellen-in-baden-wuerttemberg/tailfingen---evang-kirche.php] [accessed 15 December 2022] showing the font in the southeast corner of the nave; it is almost totally plain but for a flat moulding below the upper rim of the basin. No cover present.
