The Burkardroth city site [https://www.burkardroth.de/geschichte/ortschronik/burkardroth/284.Pfarrkirche-8222St.-Petrus-in-Ketten8220-Burkardroth.html] [accessed 24 November 2022] reports that the present baptismal font comes from the previous church and was donated in 1608 by Hanns Christall, an important teacher of Burkardroth. The basin appears hexagonal, with a curved underbowl; sides decorated with floral and foliage motifs; the inscription on the sides identifies the year and the donor [cf. dupra]; round pedestal base decorated with fluted pattern; graded mouldings on the circular lower base; the font is painted. Wooden cover with carved arrises; hexagonal finial with ball; also painted.
