The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com] notes the antiquity of the origimal church, 11thC, but mentions no font in it. There are two vessels in this church: the baptismal font proper, which consists of a hemispherical basin on a cylindrical pedestal base and a circular lower base, appears modern, perhaps as late as the 18th century. There is also a large vessel used now as holy-water stoup; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with an arcade or convex ribs all around; there is a scotia just below the upper rim; the basin appears to me made of limestone; the pedestal base, however, appears to be made of a totally different stone, sandstone, and was probably never a pair for the basin: almost cylindrical, with a broad moulding above the square lower end. It definitely suggests a composite arrangement, the base probably older than the late-medieval(?) basin.
