Church Notes: there may have been originally a monastery church here subsidiary to Fulda in the 9thC; former collegiate church of the Romanesque period collapsed; re-built using some rescued materials ca. 1349;
The entry for this church in the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz [https://www.denkmalschutz.de/denkmal/stiftskirche.html] [accessed 21 November 2022] notes "einem romanischen Taufbecken (12. Jahrhundert)". Noted and illustrated in http://lyzeumsfonds-rasdorf.de/stiftskirche.html [accessed 21 November 2022]. The font appears to be bucket-shaped with a couple of mouldings around the base. Low-dome metal cover that is probably a combination baptismal dish with cover; modern.
