Font Notes:
A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (30 July 2022) provides a copy of a 11 August 1953 article in De Typhoon newspaper [cf. ImagesArea] which informs about the discovery of a medieval metal baptismal font, found when the church pews were moved; PH's note states that the wehereabouts of that font are now [2022] unknown. [NB: the present church has the usual tiny metal baptismal dish mounted on the side of the pulpit stairs].
Credit and Acknowledgements: We are grateful to Pol Herman for bringing this font to our attention and for his help in documenting it. We are also grateful to Jan van der Male, Gemeentearchief Zaanstad (ZNSTD) for the copy of the original article
