Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10085049] [accessed 14 November 2022] as a disused limestone basin of a baptismal font of ca. 1573. The shape appears roughly quadrangular with chamfered corners at the upper end, but the underbowl is octagonal, rounded and plain; no base present. The KIK-IRPA entry [cf. supra] gives the location of the object as "fonts baptismaux déplacés à l'extérieur", and the height of the basin as "55.5 cm". A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 29 July 2022) on the surviving font fragments at Sint-Gitter notes: "the shape of the basin of the old gothic font [at Sint-Gitter] seems unusual. I cannot yet match it with other fonts. Also, I do not really see heads, but bulges. This is something that you can observe on other Mosan fonts, maybe it reduced the costs. The font of Mont is an example."
