Norbet Bischoff's article Der Taufstein im Pfarrgarten in the 27 April 2011 edition of the Main Post [https://www.mainpost.de/regional/kitzingen/der-taufstein-im-pfarrgarten-art-6116043] [accessed 10 November 2022] informs about an old (1496) stone font located in the parish garden in 1907. It was not installed in the new 1908 church; instead a replica font was made of it and that became the font in use. The old font was restored in 1611 by Hans Keesebrod and it was eventually provided with a new base and returned to the new church, where it is now used as a light-centre at the southwest corner of the nave, beneath the gallery.
