The entry in the Pfarrei Heiligste Dreifaltigkeit Beverungen [https://www.heiligstedreifaltigkeit-beverungen.de/ortschaften/st-johannes-baptist-beverungen.html] [accessed 3 November 2022] reports the restoration of the altar, pulpit and font in the 1970s renovation of the church; the font is described in the same source as Baroque, decorated with putti heads. The entry for this church in the baukunst-nrw [https://www.baukunst-nrw.de/objekte/St.-Johannes-Baptist-in-Beverungen--6723.htm] [accessed 3 Novenmber 2022] mentions a baptismal font made of marble ca. 1700. The font consists of a square basin with rounded sides decorated with an angel head in a foliage garland; large protruding multiple moulding atop the square pedestal base that has a large floral motif on each side. The metal font cover is round and moulded, its finial resembling a tiny baptismal font and cover.
