Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-Irpa [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10030334] [accessed 3 November 2022] as a baptismal font made of limestone between 1501 and 1600; the font is of the Hainaut type, consisting of an octagonal basin on an octagonal pedestal base; the decoration consists of a series of paralle mouldings on the basin and all down the sides of the stem and lower base. Metal font cover, a low dome with a Latin cross finial; appears modern. A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 12 July 2022) on the font at Odenbüll comments: "My estimate of the date : late 15th century or early 16th century. I do not observe any typical feature of a Mosan (Namurer Marmor) font. It seems more like a limestone font of the Hainaut type, late gothic in style, renaissance in date. A typical example is Ecaussinnes, église Saint-Aldegonde." There is a similar font in the collections of the Château fort et musée d'art [Fondation van der Burch], listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-Irpa [http://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10151376] [accessed 3 November 2022].
