Font Notes:
Noted in Georg Dehio's Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland (Munich: Deutscher Kunstverlag, 1984) as a 13th-century octagonal baptismal font located at the back of the church. The font consists of an octagonal basin with rounded underbowl that rests on a squat base; the base is also formed by the eight columns that support the basin on the outside; octagonal lower base [NB: odd design for a font of the period in this area; see also the font at Drolshagen]; arrised dome cover with finial.
