There is a photograph of the medieval font here by VG Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld [https://www.tourenplaner-rheinland-pfalz.de/de/punkt/kirche/romanische-kirche-kircheib/2773169/#dmlb=1] [accessed 30 October 2022]; the accompanying video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgLCOB83OQY] in https://kircheib.de/unsere-gemeinde/kirchengemeinde/ [accessed 30 October 2022] identifies the stone as "Basaltlava"; the pedestal base is made of tufa stone; the font, which is 109 cm tall, consists of a roughly hemispherical basin on a round moulded pedestal base; the inner basin apears to have a modern metal insert or lining, and there is a metal cover, modern as well. The font is described as Romanesque in several sources, but may be of a later date.
