The entry for this church in the Kirchengemeinde Schwei und Schweiburg [https://kirchengemeinde-stadland.jimdofree.com/st-secundus-kirche-in-schwei/] [accessed 28 October 2022] notes and illustrates a baptismal font made of sandstone in 1575 bearing an inscription with the John 3:3 text, and the names of the pastor and churchwardens who donated the font: "Eine Inschrift zitiert die Bibelstelle Joh. 3,3 : Wer nicht aus Wasser und Geist von Neuem geboren wird, kann nicht eingehen in das Reich Gottes sowie die Namen von Pastor und Kirchgeschworenen"; the carved decorations on the font are painted over; part of the carved inscription is gilded; there are four angel heads set at 90-degree angles on the upper basin sides, the inscritions running between the heads; the sides and underbowl are covered in a pattern of large leaves, the carving painted over as well; the short stem of the base is octagonal, carved and painted over; the square lower base has chamfered corners and is painted as well. Profusely decorated wooden font cover made by Ludwig Münstermann in 1623, restored in 1998; the inscriptions on the cover are carved , except those on the lower sides, which are painted in black Gothic lettering.
