The entry for this church in Kirchgemeinde Sachsenbrunn [http://www.kirche-sachsenbrunn.de/Ueber-uns/Kirche-Sachsenbrunn/] [accessed 24 October 2022] reports and illustrates a baptismal font dated 1593: "Der aus Sandstein gefertigte Taufstein trägt die Jahreszahl 1593." Baptismal font consisting of a roughly cylindrical basin with a round window carved and painted on each panel of the octagonal basin; there a moulding atop the round pedestal base, also with eight round windows carved and painted on it; the wider circular lower base is plain. No cover present but the font uses a metal baptismal dish on a frame on the basin top [NB: presumably the source above refers to a date painted on the font? There is no date visible in our source photograph; presumably on another side of the painted font?]
