Baptismal font made of wood and consisting of an octagonal basin raised on a baluster-type pedestal base and a splaying lower base, both octagonal as well; the font is painted with varied floral and foliage patterns. No cover present. This font must have replaced the medieval stone font in 1674; the stone font was found disused in Ludwigsburg and re-installed in 1968 to Waabs church at the east end of the nave, south side, only to be replaced again by the later wooden font at the time of the ca. 2020 restoration of the church; the medieval font, which had been in this location since 1968, was then moved to the tower space. [cf. BSI entry Waabs No. 1 for the medieval font].
