The present font was introduced at a time when major renovations were done to the church in 1790, the font actually dated 1791; the basin is octagonal, the back side much broader and against the wall; the 'marbling' wash on it is said to have been applied in the 1912 renovation of the church. [NB: we have no information on the font of the medieval church here].
