The octagonal basin of a medieval baptismal font of the 13th century that stands now on a modern base was discovered in the castle park and brought into the church in 1979. Its provenance is uncertain. No cover present but evidence of cover anchorings are evident in the upper rim. [cf. BSI entry for Laubach No. 2 for a possible medieval font from here later at the Schloss Laubach and drawn by Carl Theodor Reiffenstein]
