Church Notes: church/chapel documented 14thC; became parochial 1659; much modified; damaged in WWII; restored and renovated since
There are two baptismal fonts in this church: a modern font designed by Wiethase in 1885 and an old one, said to have been re-cycled from a Roman oil mill-stone ["Ölmühle"] in 1559, later discarded, but restored to use in the church in 1976. The date 1559 inscribed on the basin side is said to represent the year when the old Roman object was re-cycled as a baptismal use.
