A stone vessel located inside the former abbey church, near the entranceway, is noted and illustrated in Norbert Breton's Premier Millénaire [http://millenaire1.free.fr/408_6_19_saint_genou.html] [accessed 17 September 2022]; the illustration is captioned: "Fonts baptismaux taillés dans un chapiteau à crochets"; the object appears to consist of a round former capital re-worked for use as holy-water stoup [not baptismal font], raised on a short fragment decorated with foliage as lower base; no cover present [the location right at the entrance would suggest its use as stoup as well]. The church has a baptismal font of stone in one of the side chapels; the octagonal basin is decorated with a large foliage motif on each panel; the short stem is octagonal and plain; the pedestal base is also octagonal but decorated with multiple parallel mouldings; atop the basin has been located a ceramic(?) basin, probably used to hold the baptismal water without using the stone basin itself. This font does not appear medieval at all, but likely 17th-19th century. No cover present. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font of this church].
