Listed and illustrated in the Deutschen Inschriften Online [www.inschriften.net, https://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:0238-di043mz05k0033304] [DI 43: Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis (1997) Nr. 333(†)] [accessed 5 September 2022] as a baptismal font of red sandstone, consisting of an octagonal basin on a square base, the whole covered in Ogee tracery; the date is inscribed on the sides of the base, the numers separated: "Breithardt, Ev. Kirche. Taufstein aus rotem Sandstein mit Vierpaßfuß, worauf die Jahreszahl in einzelnen, durch Quadrangel flankierte Ziffern zwischen dem spätgotischen Maßwerk eingehauen ist. Darüber erhebt sich das achteckige, maßwerkverzierte Becken; roter Farbauftrag. Maße: H. 108, Dm. Fuß ca. 70, Z. 6-9 cm." No cover present.
