Catalogued and illustrated in Bähren-Aye (2005) as one of two fonts in this church: this one is inscribed with the date 1511, its carved decoration now very eroded: "Die Kirche besitzt im Vorraum unter dem Turm einen zweiten Taufstein mit großer Cuppa, der 1511 datiert ist." Listed and illustrated in the Deutsches Inschriften Online [www.inschriften.net, https://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:0238-di088g016a1001201] [DI 88: Landkreis Hildesheim (2014) A1, Nr. 12] [accessed 5 September 2022]: "Ehemaliger Taufstein, heute als Blumentopf genutzt, links neben dem Altar."
