The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/LUGO_Arcos_Chantada.pdf] [accessed 1 August 2022] notes: "La pila bautismal del templo se encuentra, tras su reedificación, embebida en la esquina de los muros occidental y septentrional. Por ello, solo es visible parcialmente. Presenta una copa de tipología semiesférica soportada por un alto basamento, añadido posteriormente. Es en aquella donde se sitúa, a mitad de su altura, un motivo decorativo de gran sencillez. Este se compone de una serie de líneas en diagonal dispuestas en sentido de las agujas del reloj. Dicho ornato es frecuente en las pilas analizadas en el municipio, como las de Merlán y Fornas. Comparte cronología con los restos románicos hallados en el templo, es decir, se trata de una obra datable a finales del siglo XII." The font has a wooden cover, just for the visible section; round, flat and plain.
