A 9 September 2020 entry in the Centro de Estudios Borjanos blogspot [https://cesbor.blogspot.com/2020/09/interesante-pila-bautismal.html?m=0] [accessed 30 July 2022] notes and illustrates a baptismal font at the parish church of Santa María Magdalena, in Los Fayos; the entry focuses on the porcelain insert which it reports as an oddity [="un recipiente de cobre, con tres asas en su tapa, en el interior del cual se conserva protegida la auténtica pila de cerámica, con el agua bautismal. No conocíamos ningún ejemplar de estas características que parece más bien de uso doméstico, pero realmente interesante."]. The actual baptismal font appears too old for this late-16th cenury church, perhaps brought from another church nearby? It is a totally plain round tub raised on a modern base; it has some damage to the upper rim, perhaps where a cover anchoring spot existed; there is no cover present now.
