Font Notes:
The existence of an Visigothic baptistery [="un baptisterio hispanovisigodo"] is reported in Turinea [https://www.turinea.com/es/cu/4-1283-1089/3-catedral-santa-maria-de-la-huerta-tarazona-zaragoza-.html] [accessed 30 July 2022]. [NB: we have not yet been able to get detailed reports of the baptistery or its font; one source mentioned that the baptistery was profusely decorated but did not give any source as to where that information came from]. The present font in this cathedral, made of a marble conglomerate and located in a west end chapel, is modern; as suggested in Luis Antonio Chochi Oterino and Pilar Lapuente Mercadal's Nota sobre la piedra de algunas pilas bautismales de las catedrales e iglesias de Aragón [https://www.academia.edu/64490072/Nota_sobre_la_piedra_de_algunas_pilas_bautismales_de_las_catedrales_e_iglesias_de_Aragón] [accessed 30 July 2022] it was probably made of "brecha de Ricla" [aka "jaspe de Ricla"] in the late-18th century [NB: the article mentions other such fonts in the area made of the same material, and is also accessible in http://museonat.unizar.es/el-jaspe-de-ricla/ [accessed 30 July 2022]].
