The web site of the Touristinformation Trittenheim [https://www.trittenheim.de/files/images/chronik/Taufstein.JPG] [accessed 6 July 2022] informs that according to a parish register the baptismal font made of sandstone in 1626 probably by a follower of the Trier sculptor Hans Ruprecht Hoffmann (1554-1617). This same source describes the font as being a composite of two parts: the 17th-century base that incorporates four full-bodied angels, and an octagonal basin of the 18th century
