A stone basin now displayed in the cloister of the Stiftskirche in Kyllburg is in a sorry state: badly damaged and eroded; the object is polygonal at the upper rim [octagonal?] with bulges at the angles; the underbowl is rounded and apparently plain; a metal insert appears top the font now holding candles. The entry for this object in the Datenbank der Kulturgüter in der Region Trier [https://kulturdb.de/einobjekt.php?id=44155] [accessed 3 July 2022]. identifies coats of arms on the bulges below the rim.
