A fragment of a ca. 1490 baptismal font of Baumberger sandstone held at the LWL museum (Object No. D-1151,3 LM); it was discovered in 1897 in the Kreuztorrundell excavation and is believed to be originally from the Pfarrkirche Liebfrauen-Überwasser of Münster; it may have been broken up in the early-16th century Anabaptist iconoclastic drive of 1534-1535 in the area; the fragment is described in the museum entry [https://www.lwl.org/AIS5/Details/collect/68485] [accessed 29 June 2022] as being part of a scene of the Ark of Covenant being carried across the river Jordan [="Dieses Fragment ist Teil eines Relieffeldes, das zeigt, wie die Bundeslade durch den Jordan zu einer rechts wartenden Figur getragen wird."] Measurements of the fragment given in the source: 18 x 37 x 20 cm. There are two modern fonts -one from 1720, the other a more recent one- now in this church [cf. ImagesArea]
