Church Notes: late-18thC present church [NB: present church is 1772 but an earlier church is depicted in a ca. 1600 pinting] -- listed in Mérimée [ref.: IA59000649]: "Eglise construite à la fin du 18e siècle (?). Des travaux de réparation sont exécutés en 1809 (vitraux) par l'architecte Lembourg, puis en 1840 par l'architecte Trussy, en 1907 par l'architecte Neulliès (couverture) et en 1921par l'architecte Armbruster."

Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM59004510]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] en pierre de Soignies [...] datés du 16e siècle (arrêté) ou du 17e siècle (base CAOA). [...] Dimensions normalisées: H = 80". Moulded base.
A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 6 June 2022) notes: "The baptismal font in limestone (pierre de Soignies) is of the Hainaut type. With gothic elements : octagonal. With baroque elements : bowl shaped basin. I have the impression that it is composite : basin and column/base seem to have a different style. I would put it in the 17th century."
