The entry for this originally medieval church in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com] does not mention a font in it. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed June 2022] notes: "Tiene la iglesia dedicada a Santa María la Mayor y es renacentista [...] La portada es románica, del siglo XII, con seis arquivoltas, –la primera con figuras–, capiteles con flora y fauna y canes en tejaroz, con pintura variada posterior; la puerta tiene arco rebajado [...] La pila es románica, lisa". The only decoration on the basin is a thin scotia below the upper rim and an eroded moulding near the bottom of the basin underbowl. No cover present but the basin retains two metal staples from previous cover anchorings.
