A l'intérieur d'une des cuves, se trouve une boîte en étain, jadis munie d'une poignée, qui contient l'eau bénite pour le baptême [...] 16e siècle [...] H = 96 ; la = 102 ; pr = 52 (Dimension des fonts baptismaux) ; Dimension de la boîte : d = 18,5". No cover present; the two metal anchorings in between the two basins may have been installed for a detachable holy-water container [cf. supra] or for an old cover. [NB: the nearby [only 400 m. away] parish church of Sainte-Urielle, documented in 1516 as a prieuré-cure de l’abbaye de Beaulieu, belonged to the diocèse de Dol; it became a chapel-of-ease to Tredias until the Revolution; it was demolished ca. 1838, its materials re-used in the re-building of the church at Tredias]
